Community Outreach

We have made a commitment to supporting non-profit organizations throughout Lake and Cook Counties. Due to our charitable contributions, event sponsorships, volunteer efforts and financial education we are building relationships with community leaders. By working together, we support and help those in need and strengthen our community.

Community Grant and Sponsorship Requests

First Bank does it's best to meet the needs of our community and surrounding neighbors however, it is not always possible to fulfill each request. By completing an application you are not guaranteed to receive funds or sponsorship. The Community Relations Coordinator will follow up with you once a decision has been made.

Grant Requests

Thank you for your interest in applying for a First Bank grant. Grants are donations tied to a specific project that have a measurable impact on the organization or community. Typically, organizations request grants to cover specific programming that enhances their services.

Completing the application to the best of your ability is the first step to gaining support for your charitable project or program. Decisions will be made based upon the information provided so please include as much detail as possible. Also be sure to attach all supporting documentation and allow four to six weeks for First Bank to process your request.

Event Sponsorship Requests

Thank you for your interest in applying for a First Bank event sponsorship donation. Sponsorships can range from being the title sponsor of an event benefiting a local non-profit program to providing an ad for a program book. Typically, funds raised through sponsorships tend to help support an organization’s general fund or “bottom line.”

Financial Education

In 2011, First Bank developed and piloted the Junior Banking Ambassador program. The mission of the program is to educate children on fiscal responsibility through engaging and interactive activities in which students can provide peer-to-peer lessons taught with guidance from the First Bank staff. The curriculum used for this program, Money Smart for Young Adults, was developed by the FDIC.
